Goldfish bowl glass fusing project

Fish Bowl Project

Ingredients:

One fish bowl precut (available in 3mm or 6mm) I used 3mm for this project

Frit of your choice for sand. I used chestnut opal brown medium.

Small clear dots for bubbles

Frit balls or Glassline for eyes

Sea life precuts

(This collection is also available in 90 COE)

Thinfire shelf paper

Recipe using 96 COE Glass:

Arrange the sea life precuts as desired on Thinfire shelf paper. Note that the escaping goldfish is two layers. Important: Make sure that your glass is squeaky clean. I wash in dish soap, rinse in hot water and then handle with gloves.

I did not glue up for this project. Always really check the project in the kiln to make sure that no pieces shifted during transfer.

Firing Schedule (ramp, target temperature, hold)

250 1050 30

250 1250 20

300 1360 11

9999 950 60

200 800 10

300 100 00

For 90 COE, I would go to 1370.

Photo One: The escaping fish. I cut one fish in half and then stacked the other fish on top.

Photo Two: Something was missing so I added eyes.
