Holiday Sweater Handmade Fused Glass Ornament Blue Gingerbread Man

This one of a kind ornament was made by me in my Loveland, Colorado glass studio.

The hand cast glass is made with swirls of blues resembling a cozy chenille sweater. The "applique" gingerbread man is made of chestnut brown glass.

Measurements: About 2 5/8 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches high by 1/4 thick (not including the hanger).

Quantity: One ornament (The group photo is shown so you can see the infinite variety.)

How it's made. The components were cut and then hand finished. Once the design looked just right I prepared this to go in the kiln. The ornament is slowly heated to 1375 degrees "fusing" the glass into one piece. Then it's annealed for strength and brought back to room temperature. This process takes about a day.
