Sal Ammoniac Solid Form ~ Johnson Mfg. ~ 8 ounces

Instructions for tinning soldering irons: Heat soldering iron to soldering temperature. Using iron, melt a small droplet of solder onto the top surface of the Sal block. Rub heated iron across the surface until all sides are brightly tinned.

Also used to clean carbon deposits from soldering iron tips.
